Learning outcomes: After completing the course, the student - is familiar with the factors influencing foreign language learning - recognizes the differences between formalistic, functionalistic and functional language teaching methods - is able to describe and design L2 Finnish classroom sessions - knows the principles of assessing language skills, - is able to use descriptions of language skill levels, such as CEFR, in teaching planning,

Offering information: The course is offered both as a part of undergraduate education and as a part of the Open university education. The primary target group of Open university students are those who work in education and teaching and who encounter S2 learners in their work and, for example, public service interpreters, people who work in teaching and education and others who work in a multicultural environment. The course can also be completed by students who have a continuous right to study.
