Upon completing the course, the student will be able to: - Define the role of product development in a company's operations - Distinguish between innovation activities and systematic product development, and describe them - Differentiate the phases and tasks of the product development process - Work in a product development project - Use tools such as QFD (Quality Function Deployment) and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) in product development - Determine the significance of other company functions (stakeholders) for product development activities - Describe the transformation of different stakeholders' needs into requirements and specifications - Describe the management of various stakeholders' requirements in product development
