TA1 Basics in Economics

The course aims to provide students with basic information on government finances. After completing the course, students will understand the core duties of the government, the principles of interventions by the government, the consideration of inequality in policy planning and the effect of governmental spending programmes and taxation on the functioning of the economy.

The course material can include lecture slides, a textbook or other material announced by the lecturers.

The Bachelor’s Programme in Economics is responsible for the course. For major subject students of the Bachelor’s Programme in Economics, the course can be included in the Study Module in Economics (ECOK-500). Students of other degree programmes can include the course in the Study Module in Economics (ECOK-300). The course can also be included in the continuous learning offerings.

The course can be completed at any point, course is not taught every academic year.

Optional participation in lectures. The course can also be implemented differently as part of continuous learning.

The teacher selects the method of assessment from final exam, assignment, or the writing and peer review of learning diaries.
