Intermediate Spanish 1 or corresponding skills

After completing the course, students will

• Be proficient in the basics of the Spanish language (See the central grammar content below.)
• Be able to express themselves orally and in writing on general topics
• Be able to express and justify their opinions and attitudes
• Be able to describe opportunities using conditional sentences
• Be able to follow uncomplicated discussion on societal topics
• Be able to discuss different phenomena from the perspective of sustainability
• Be able to utilise collaborative skills and a multilingual environment in information retrieval

Implemented as online teaching (For contact teaching OR independent study, see KK-ESP212.).

The course includes a great deal of pair and small group work as well as listening comprehension exercises. Vocabulary and grammar are practised through oral and written assignments.

• Active participation (75% attendance) in course sessions and completion of agreed assignments in the time allotted
• Assignments assessed during the course and final assignment/examination (see group-specific information)
• 36 hours of online teaching (3 cr) and 45 hours of independent study
