5 cr

Face-to-face
Advanced studies

In this course, students will have the opportunity to study a core philosophical topic -- mind, knowledge, nature, change, personhood, freedom of the will -- in one of the historical periods: ancient or medieval. As the result, students should be able by the end of the course/module to acquire a detailed knowledge of the development of that topic in the chosen period, including to be able to state the main doctrines in the texts by the key philosophers of the period, to understand the main interpretative problems of these doctrines, and to engage critically and systematically with these sources.
