DevOps with Docker: security and optimization

DevOps with Docker (TKT21036) and DevOps with Docker: docker-compose (TKT21037). Also, Linux operating systems and web development experience are known to be useful for students.

This part introduces production-ready practices such as container optimization and deployment pipelines. We’ll also familiarize ourselves with other container orchestration solutions. By the end of this part you are able to:

• Critically examine the images that you pull

• Trim the container size and image build time via multiple methods such as multi-stage builds.

• Automatically deploy containers

Students are encouraged to read and learn about Docker through the Docker documentation in https://docs.docker.com/(Opens in a new tab).

• MOOC course. All exercises are required for completion, except one exercise can be skipped.
• The exercises are submitted through an online system.
• Open University and degree programme completion methods may be different.

Fail / Pass grading with completion of course exercises.
