Programming with the Python language

Course participation requires fluency in using computer programs and files, but previous experience or knowledge in programming is not necessary. Requires Finnish language skills as the material provided is in Finnish.

After the course the student can

1. Create small programs with the Python programming language utilizing all basic commands and structures including list and class

2. Structure the program in multiple functions and libraries to make the programs understandable, maintainable, and extendable

3. Develop Python programs that can read data distributed as text files, select data of interest in the files, and analyze basic characteristics of the data.
